Six Tiger Student-Athletes Named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship Teams

San Antonio - Six Trinity Tigers have been selected for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.

The conference places a special emphasis on sportsmanship, and asks all the fans to exhibit the same at the events. The fall sports coaches were each asked to nominate a player who exhibited sportsmanship throughout the season.

Sophomore Andy Cottrell and junior Emma MacEachern are the men’s and women’s cross country representatives on the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Cottrell finished ninth in the conference championship, and earned All-SCAC honors. MacEachern competed in the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional, and just missed picking up All-Region accolades. She was a Trinity representative in the 2015 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

Senior football defensive back Josh Cook was named to the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team for the second consecutive time. Cook also was elected to the All-SCAC Honorable Mention Team.

Senior setter Erika Edrington was named to the team from the Tigers volleyball squad. The former All-American was tabbed for the All-SCAC First Team, and All-West Region Honorable Mention Team.

Junior defender Guy Harris and senior forward/midfielder Brigitte Taylor were selected from the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Harris was an All-SCAC Second Team honoree. During her career, Taylor has been elected to the All-SCAC  Honorable Mention Team, and to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-Region Team.
