Both Trinity standouts earned a spot on the All-South Region Third Team after leading the team to a 6-4 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Southern Athletic Association.
Holmes is a three-year starter along the Tiger offensive line, and was chosen as an All-Southern Athletic Association First Team guard this season. Holmes was also elected as an All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention player in 2015.
This season, Holmes graded out at a 92% and recorded 65 pancake/knockdown blocks over his 10 games started. The Tiger offense averaged just under 30 points per game this season and averaged better than 400 yards per game of total offense.
Anzaldua started the last four seasons as Trinity's nose guard, piling up 157 total tackles and 39.0 tackles for loss. He led the Tigers with 11.5 tackles for loss and tied for the team lead with 3.0 sacks this year. Anzaldua's 51 total tackles were third among all Trinity defenders, and in addition to being named to the All-SAA First Team, he was also chosen for the SAA Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.
Trinity was led this season by fourth-year Head Coach Jerheme Urban, who has now seen six players earn All-Region honors during his tenure. Coach Urban led the Tigers to a fourth-place finish in the school's first year in the conference, as well as producing seven All-SAA honorees.
