Brant McAdams, a 2006 Trinity graduate, is in his seventh overall season on the Tigers staff. Coach McAdams is the defensive coordinator and also coaches the Tiger linebackers. He returned to campus prior to the start of the 2013 season.
Trinity was ranked second in the nation in Red Zone defense, third in rushing defense, 17th in total defense, and 19th in scoring defense in the 2015 campaign.
Coach McAdams was a standout defensive end for the Tigers from 2002-2005 and was elected team captain his senior year. Coach McAdams was selected for the All-SCAC Team following the 2005 season. The Tigers made four NCAA playoff appearances and won four SCAC Championships while Coach McAdams was a student-athlete, posting a 40-7 record.
He served as the defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the University of Puget Sound (WA) from 2010-2012. The Loggers finished in the top-20 in the NCAA Division III in interceptions during the 2010 season.
Coach McAdams previously was Trinity’s linebackers and defensive line coach from 2008-2009. He oversaw the strength and conditioning program and organized off-season competitions during the spring semester.
After his undergraduate days at Trinity, Coach McAdams held the position of defensive line coach at the University of Redlands (CA) from 2006 to the spring of 2008. He received a Master of Arts degree in higher education from Redlands in 2009.
Coach McAdams and his wife, Alison, have a young son and daughter, Payton and Adelyn, respectively.
