Jeremy Gezella is in his sixth season as Trinity’s wide receivers coach. Coach Gezella, who became a Tigers assistant coach in 2012, also serves as the recruiting coordinator.
Coach Gezella was a wide receivers coach during the 2011 season at Carroll (WI) University while assisting with scouting and recruiting activities. He began his coaching career at his alma mater, St. Norbert (WI) College in the spring of 2010. Coach Gezella then moved to Illinois College, as wide receivers coach, while also working with punt and kick returners.
Coach Gezella earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies from St. Norbert in December 2009. As a standout receiver for St. Norbert. Coach Gezella earned All-Midwest Conference honors for two seasons. He was ranked 28th in the nation with receiving yards per game (99.8 yards per game) in 2009 and was voted the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player. The versatile Coach Gezella also played baseball for one season at St. Norbert.
Coach Gezella played professionally in the Indoor Football League in 2010, for the Green Bay Blizzard and West Michigan Thunderhawks, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
