Jason Guthrie is in his 10th season as an assistant coach for the Tigers, and his first as the offensive coordinator.
Prior to joining the Trinity staff in 2002, Coach Guthrie was a high school football coach for seven years in Tennessee.
Coach Guthrie was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Brentwood High School for three seasons. The Bruins won the state championship during Coach Guthrie’s final year. Brentwood racked up a 29-7 record during Coach Guthrie’s tenure, and averaged more than 30 points per game.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Wesleyan University in 1998, majoring in history and education. Coach Guthrie received a master’s in education leadership from Trinity in 2006.
In addition to his coaching and recruiting duties, Coach Guthrie is also co-chair of San Antonio’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
