Patrick Banigan has completed two seasons as the Tigers outside linebackers coach. He also is the assistant coach for the special teams unit.

Coach Banigan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management in 2015 from Texas A&M University. He served as a volunteer assistant football coach at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas, beginning in January 2014. Coach Banigan assisted the head coach with the daily planning of practices and game preparation, as well as scouting the Tigers opponents.

Coach Banigan graduated from McNeil High School in Austin, Texas, in 2011. He was a two-time recipient of the Varsity Lacrosse Sportsmanship Award. The versatile Coach Banigan was a student manager for the Mavericks football team, helping on the offensive side of the ball. He also worked as a student athletic trainer for the Mavericks football, baseball, and basketball teams.
