Sakshaugh was the Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while Reid took Defensive Player of the Week honors, and the Tigers defeated Dallas and Colorado College to solidify their top spot in the SCAC standings.
In the game against Dallas, Sakshaug assisted on the double-overtime game-winner, giving Trinity a regular season series split with the Crusaders. He also scored a goal in the first half that put the Tigers up 2-0 at the time.
This season, Sakshaug has posted six goals and three assists. He recorded his 21st career assist and stands alone in 20th place in Tiger history. Sakshaug's goal was the 17th of his career.
Reid led the Tiger defense as Trinity stepped up in the OT periods by allowing just two shots to Dallas during the extra time. The senior defender and his teammates recorded their seventh clean-sheet game of the year with the Colorado College win on Sunday.
Trinity has won seven consecutive games, and stands at 12-1-0 overall. The Tigers are 8-1-0 in conference play, and have qualified for the SCAC Tournament. The defending champs will put their title on the line November 3-5 at Irving, Texas.
Trinity will host two conference matchups during its Alumni Weekend, starting Friday with Texas Lutheran University at 8:00 p.m. Southwestern (TX) University comes to campus Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. game.
