Trinity Men’s Soccer Ranked Second in the Nation

San Antonio - The Trinity men's soccer team is now the second-ranked team in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches Division III Poll.

Trinity, led by 27th-year Head Coach Paul McGinlay, started with a #12 ranking in the Preseason Poll in August. The Tigers jumped to fourth, but then took a slight dip down to sixth before beginning their climb back up. Last week, Trinity held a #3 national ranking by the coaches' organization.

In last week's SCAC road action, Trinity battled the University of Dallas (TX) to a 3-2 double-overtime victory. The Tigers then beat Colorado College 1-0 to claim their seventh consecutive win and a seventh shutout game.

The Tigers now stand at 12-1-0 overall and 8-1-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conferencere. Trinity returns home to host two conference games over Alumni Weekend. First up will be Texas Lutheran University at 8:00 p.m. Friday, followed by a Sunday matchup at 2:00 p.m. with Southwestern (TX) University.
