Tom Carwile has completed one season as an assistant coach with the Trinity Tiger men's soccer team.

Coach Carwile graduated from Trinity in August 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business (finance). He was a standout player on the Tiger men’s team from 2012 to 2015. The squad  advanced to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 his freshman year, and to the Final Eight for the past three seasons.

A team captain his junior and senior years, Coach Carwile was elected to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-America First Team, and to the All-America First Team. The Tiger defender was tabbed for the 2014 All-America Second Team. A high honor for Coach Carwile occurred in January 2016, as he was selected as the Defender of the Year by

Coach Carwile was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Defensive MVP in  2014 and 2015. The SCAC 2015 Defensive Player of the Year was also an offensive threat, as he scored a team-lead tying nine goals, along with seven game-winners. Coach Carwile was ranked fourth on a national scale in game-winning goals. He also accounted for one assist, and posted 19 points.

The well-respected Coach Carwile was named to the the All-SCAC First Team his sophomore through senior seasons. In 2012, he was selected as the SCAC Newcomer of the Year.

Coach Carwile gained invaluable experience in the summer of 2015, competing for the Ocean City (NJ) Nor’easters. The United Soccer Leagues-Premier Development League consists of top collegiate players, and former pro players.
