Brandi Dolsen (formerly Crnkovic) is in her sixth season as head coach of the Tigers softball team.

Since taking over the helm prior to the 2013 season, Coach Dolsen has amassed an overall record of 113-96 (.541). She stands at 64-39 (.621) in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) competition.

Coach Dolsen guided Trinity to a 27-16 record in 2013, the second-most victories since the 2006 campaign. The Tigers also produced a record of 25-18 in 2014 and went 26-16 in the 2016 slate.

Under the leadership of Coach Dolsen, Trinity advanced to the SCAC Championship game from 2013-2016 and to the Semifinals in 2017. A total of 28 players have earned All-SCAC recognition during her tenure, including 11 First Team honorees. There has also been a SCAC Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year on her watch.

Four Tiger players have been elected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team since 2014. Included on the list is current senior Rebecca Berreth who has garnered the honor for the last two years.

Prior to serving as a Trinity assistant coach in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, Coach Dolsen was a graduate assistant softball coach with her alma mater, Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The Bearkats are an NCAA Division I program, and Coach Dolsen had a distinguished collegiate career from 2006-2009.

The former pitcher leads Sam Houston State in all-time career strikeouts with 528 in her column. Coach Dolsen is ranked second with eight career saves, fifth in innings pitched (670.2), and #6 in victories with 49 to her credit.

In 2007, Coach Dolsen was elected as the Southland Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player after hurling 23 consecutive scoreless innings. The Bearkats received their first NCAA DI postseason softball berth. She was also selected for the All-Southland Conference Second Team and pitched four no-hitters for the Bearcats during her career.

Coach Dolsen earned the Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State in 2009 with a major in kinesiology. She was selected for the Southland Conference Academic Team the same year.

Coach Dolsen received a high honor from her school in 2016, as she was inducted into the Sam Houston State Athletic Hall of Honor.

A native of Caldwell, Texas, Coach Dolsen was an all-state and four-time all-district softball honoree, while competing for the Caldwell High School Hornets.

She married Lacy Dolsen in August 2017 and the couple have an infant son, Sam.
