San Antonio - Trinity senior Micah Weaver has been elected to the D3hoops.com All-South Region First Team.
The Tiger guard was recognized for the second straight year after making the D3hoops.com All-South Region Second Team last season. Last month, Weaver was selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year, as well as making the All-SCAC First Team.
Weaver poured in 527 points during the campaign, averaging 19.5 points per game. She finished her two-year career with 1,000 points, becoming the 17th player in school history to reach the mark. Weaver also led the team with 90 assists and 151 total rebounds, along with picking up 72 steals. The sharpshooting Weaver hit 50.5% of her shots from the field.
Trinity, led by sixth-year Head Coach Cameron Hill, captured its third straight SCAC Championship and fourth in the last six seasons. The 21st-ranked Tigers advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs and were edged 79-70 by the University of Texas-Dallas in the opening round. Trinity finished the season with a 23-4 record.
