San Antonio - Former Trinity women's golfer Christine Campbell has been tabbed as an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
The WGCA recognizes golfers who have at least a 3.50 grade point average. Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity last May, majoring in engineering science. She has been a member of Trinity's Dean's List, as well as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll.
On the golf course, Campbell earned All-SCAC Second Team honors in April, with a 10th-place finish at the SCAC Championship in Blanco, Texas. Campbell contributed to the Tigers' second consecutive conference title, as Trinity bested second-place Schreiner (TX) University by eight strokes at Vaaler Creek Golf Club.
Carla Spenkoch was elected the SCAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year, for the second straight time, and third in her coaching career. Coach Spenkoch also led Trinity to a #23 national ranking in the NCAA Division III, in the Golfstat poll.
