Trinity Women’s Soccer Leads Nation in Statistical Categories

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team had the best win-loss percentage in the NCAA Division III during the 2016 campaign.

Led by first-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, Trinity posted a 23-1 overall record for a winning percentage of .958. The Tigers went undefeated in the regular season and won the first three rounds of their 22nd NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Tigers also led the division in shots per game with an average of 26.96. Trinity fired in 98 goals and was ranked second in offensive scoring with 4.08 goals per game. The team was second in total points, assists, points per game, and tied for second in assists per game.

Senior Yasmeen Farra tied for eighth place in game-winning goals with seven to her name. The All-American scored 14 goals in the course of the season. Senior keeper Janie Thompson came in eighth in goals-against average at .328. Thompson yielded only five goals to the opposition.
