Trinity Volleyball Ranked Third for Second Straight Week

San Antonio - The Trinity volleyball team has been ranked third in the nation for the second consecutive week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Poll.

Trinity, led by 33rd-year Head Coach Julie Jenkins, stands at 18-3 overall. The Tigers traveled to Belton, Texas, last weekend and started off with a 3-0 win over Sul Ross State (TX) University. Trinity then defeated the host University of Mary Hardin-Baylor by a score of 3-1, as the Tigers took their fourth straight victory.

Coach Jenkins notched her 900th career victory following the decision over Sul Ross. She is just one of seven coaches - in any NCAA Division - to produce 900 wins. Coach Jenkins also became the third Division III coach to attain the milestone win.

The Tigers continue their week on Wednesday, with a 6:00 p.m. match at St. Mary's University, an NCAA Division II member located in San Antonio. Trinity will host the SCAC Divisional over the weekend, starting with Texas Lutheran University Friday. Fifth-ranked Southwestern (TX) University is on Saturday's docket followed by a match with Schreiner (TX) University.
