Former Tiger standout Jeremy Daum has completed four seasons as a volunteer assistant cross country coach.
Coach Daum, a 2008 Trinity graduate, competed for the Tigers cross country and track and field teams. He was a two-time All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and two-time cross country All-Region performer. Coach Daum was a double major in business administration with an emphasis in finance and Chinese.
Since his collegiate days, Coach Daum has become even more successful as a runner, competing at numerous national races. He has also coached former Trinity runners following graduation in various events, including marathons.
His personal best in the marathon came in January 2014, when he completed the Houston Marathon in 2:24.23. He finished in 1:08.27 at the June 2013 US Half Marathon Championships as well.
Coach Daum is senior finance manager at Rackspace hosting in San Antonio.
He married the former Emily Loeffler, now Trinity’s head cross country coach, in May 2011. The couple welcomed their daughter, Emma, into the world on March 22, 2015. Their son, Ethan, was born June 20, 2017.
