Two Tiger Runners Earn Division III All-Academic Cross Country Honors

Box Score

San Antonio - Trinity cross country runners Jessica Pagano and Rosemary Steup have both been named to the Division III All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Pagano, a first-year, and Steup, a sophomore, join a group of 183 student-athletes among 96 institutions who earned the honor from the USTFCCCA.  The Tiger duo met the qualifications by sporting a GPA of 3.30 or higher last semester, as well as finishing in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Trinity was fourth at the NCAA Regional meet, led by both All-Region performances by both Steup and Pagano.  Steup finished fifth at the meet, earning her second spot in as many tries to the NCAA Division III Championships.  Pagano was 33rd in her first shot at regionals.

Leading the Tiger men's and women's cross country teams is Head Coach Jenny Breuer.  Coach Breuer has had a team or individual qualify for nationals each of the past six seasons, and led Trinity's women's teams to Regional Championships in 2004 and 2008.
