San Antonio - Trinity sophomores Brian Wongchotigul and Molly McCullough have been tabbed as the respective Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week.

Each turned in personal-best performances at last weekend's Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Tiger men finished in 21st place among 46 non-Division I teams, and Trinity's women placed eighth of 48 squads in the non-DI field.

Wongchotigul ran the 8k course in 26:19.53. He improved his time by 52 seconds from the meet held in 2015 on the same course. Wongchotigul also had the honor of leading the Tigers for the first time in his career.

McCullough was named SCAC Runner of the Week for the second time this season, after running the 5k event in 18:00.6. She placed 20th among non-Division I runners, and 65th out of the entire field of 492 competitors.

Trinity's teams will compete Saturday at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational in Live Oak, Texas.
