San Antonio - Junior Elliot Blake has been tabbed as the first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week of the season.

Blake blazed through the 5k course at San Antonio's Olmos Basin Park with a personal-best time of 15:52.2, which broke his previous top mark by over a minute. His first place finish helped lead the Tigers to a perfect team score of 15.

Both the Tiger men's and women's squads will compete Saturday at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational, hosted by Windcrest Golf Course in San Antonio. The men's race begins at 8:00 a.m., and the women's at 8:45 a.m.
