Atlanta, GA. – The Tiger diving teams will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, for the Emory Fall Invitational on October 30-31. The two-day competition will feature Trinity and host Emory University on the diving boards.
The invitational will provide Trinity's divers with an early opportunity to pursue NCAA regional qualifying scores. Unlike traditional dual meets, the Tigers will compete in 11-dive events on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, allowing them to work toward postseason qualification early in the 2026-27 season.
The women's team enters the invitational following a successful season opener against UT Permian Basin, where sophomore
Juliet Hood (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) captured first place on both boards. Hood returns after an impressive freshman campaign that included Southern Athletic Association (SAA) championships in the 1-meter and 3-meter events, SAA Diver of the Meet honors and an NCAA regional appearance.
Junior
Charlotte Brod (St. Louis, Mo. / Parkway North) also returns to competition after finishing fourth on the 3-meter board and fifth on the 1-meter against UT Permian Basin. First-year
Lauren Edenburn (New Braunfels, Texas / Canyon) will look to build on her collegiate debut after placing third on both boards, while sophomore
Andie Torres (San Antonio, Texas / Reagan) opened her season with sixth and seventh place finishes. First-year
Weslie Caton (Manvel, Texas / Manvel) enters the invitational following a strong collegiate debut against UT Permian Basin, where she finished fifth on the 3-meter board and sixth on the 1-meter.
On the men's side, senior
William Sikes returns alongside first-year
Aiden Musella (Corpus Christi, Texas / King). Sikes brings experience from last season's SAA championship team, while Musella and Caton will look to gain valuable experience competing in the 11-dive format.
The Tigers will face an experienced Emory diving program that produced three women's All-Americans on the 1-meter board at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships. Ariana Khan finished fourth nationally, Maya Kriz placed sixth and Ren Watt finished eighth, giving the Eagles a strong recent record at the national level.
Competition begins Friday at 6pm Eastern Time with women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter diving. The invitational continues Saturday at 11am Eastern Time, featuring women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter.
Looking Forward:
Following the Emory Fall Invitational, Trinity's swimming and diving teams will split competition between two meets the following weekend. Eight swimmers and one diver from each of the men's and women's teams will travel to Chicago, Illinois, for the D3 Shootout, while the remaining Tigers will stay in San Antonio to compete against the University of St. Thomas.
