San Antonio - Trinity will be the host site for the six-team Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Soccer Championship Friday through Sunday.
Led by 29th-year Head Coach Paul McGinlay, the Tigers (10-5-2, 6-3 SCAC) are the tournament's third-seeded team and will play #6 University of Dallas (TX) at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The winner advances to Saturday's semifinals at 1:30 p.m. to take on #2 Texas Lutheran University.
Fourth-seeded Southwestern (TX) University and #5 Austin (TX) College open the SCAC event at 11:00 a.m. Friday. The winner will play top-seeded Colorado College in Saturday's semifinals, also at 11:00 am.
The championship matchup is slated for 1:00 p.m. Sunday with the winner guaranteed a slot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs. Official bids will be issued by the NCAA on Monday, November 11.
The Tigers have won seven SCAC Championships in a row and 21 overall. Last year, Trinity and Southwestern battled to a 1-1 tie in the championship match at Georgetown, Texas. The Tigers claimed the title by winning 4-2 in penalty kicks.
