#14 Tigers Beat Colorado and Austin to Finish Regular Season

San Antonio - The 14th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team completed its regular season schedule with wins over Colorado College and Austin (TX) College on Saturday.


The Tigers first shut out Colorado College 9-0, and then beat Austin College 8-1.

 Chas Mayer and Clayton Niess took #1 doubles against Colorado College, Jordan Pitts and Liam Crawley won the second match, and Cameron Bilsbarrow and Tilden Oliver were winners on the third line.

Mayer, Pitts, Crawley, McKenna Fujitani, Oliver, and Austin Crist prevailed in Nos. 1-6 singles.

The top-two doubles pairings remained the same against Austin College. Bilsbarrow and Fujitani became a tandem at #3 doubles.

Mayer, Pitts, Crawley, and Fujitani were again winners at Nos. 1-4 singles. Niess joined the singles lineup in the #5 match. Oliver played #6 singles, as Austin College picked up its only point of the matchup.



The Trinity Tigers have won three straight matches and stand at 14-10. Colorado College dropped to 5-13, and Austin College is now 12-5.

The doubles team of Chas Mayer and Clayton Niess is on a five-match win streak, and is sporting a 15-4 record.

Jordan Pitts has captured six consecutive singles matches, and stands at 14-8.



Trinity will host the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships April 28-30. The conference office will announce the seedings early next week. Trinity is the conference defending champion.
