San Antonio - Five Trinity men's tennis players were named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team.
The Tigers earned their eighth consecutive SCAC Championship this past weekend after they defeated Schreiner University and Southwestern University in the conference tournament. The team made history with this victory as it marked the 22nd overall SCAC Championship for the men's tennis team, which is the most championships earned by any program in league history.
Senior Chas Mayer and sophomore Wilson Lambeth topped the All-Tournament team for the Tigers as they were recognized in both singles and doubles. First-year Jordan Pitts was recognized for his accomplishments in singles, while Matt Tyer and Clayton Niess were acknowledged for their contributions in doubles.
Trinity is awaiting their official bid to the NCAA Tournament that will be issued on May 8. The Regionals are slated for May 12-14 at a site to be determined.
