San Antonio - After the second day of competition at the NCAA Regional Tournament, three Tiger diver have qualified for the NCAA Championships.
After unofficially qualifying last night with his 3-meter score, first-year Daniel Valmassei had another incredible perfomance today, placing first on the 1-meter with a score of 490.90. Anthony Liva also punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships today with his third place finish in the 1-meter competition with 423.05 points. Junior Duncan MacAskill rounded out the Trinity male divers with his fifth place finish with a score of 399.65.
Senior Christine Peterson qualified for the NCAA Championships today for the first time in her career after finishing second in the women's 3-meter competition today with a score of 439.85.
Trinity's three qualified divers will await official invitations from the NCAA to be announced next week. The NCAA Championship are scheduled for March 21-24 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
