Shelby DeVore ‘18 enters her fifth season as the Head women’s golf coach and Assistant Director of Golf. 
 
During the 2024-25 season, the Tigers had an outstanding year. They secured four team victories and four top-two finishes. In SCAC competition, Coach DeVore and the team dominated, winning their fifth-consecutive SCAC title. Lauren Huddleston took first place, and Jessica Mason was named SCAC Golfer of the Year for the second year in the row. All five golfers received All-SCAC honors, and Coach DeVore won her fourth-consecutive SCAC Coach of the Year award. Jessica Mason was also named first team WGCA All-Region and second team WGCA All-American. 

Under Coach DeVore’s leadership, the Tigers have won four SCAC Championships and made four NCAA appearances. Coach DeVore has developed 17 All-SCAC golfers, four SCAC Golfers of the Year, and three All-Americans. Additionally, she has earned SCAC Coach of the Year honors in each of her first four seasons. Academically, her teams have excelled as well, with 28 golfers making the SCAC Honor Roll, seven receiving CSC Academic All-District awards, and seven being named WGCA Academic All-Americans.

In her first season, Coach DeVore led the Women’s Golf team to three tournaments in the regular season and took first place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship while setting multiple SCAC records. For the first time in program history, the Women’s Golf team earned an At-Large bid to the NCAA III National Championship. In the Championship,  Kiona Hsiu and Alejandra Sanchez De la Fuente Molino went on to play as individuals after the team just barely missed the cutoff to compete on day three. 
 
The former Trinity Women's Golf standout was named to the SCAC 30th Anniversary Women's Golf team in the summer of 2021 after a three-time all-SCAC Tiger career. The 2015 SCAC Freshman of the Year also works as the Director of Marketing and Operations with the Spirit Golf Association where she has also been the Assistant Tournament Director for The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship. During the Fall of 2023, Shelby earned her LPGA Certification and has been a member of the LPGA Professionals since 2022. 

During her previous tenure in San Antonio, the two-time SCAC Character & Community Athlete of the Week was a camp counselor, then Assistant Director of Junior Golf with Camp Olympia where she assisted PGA golf instructors with campers in practice, implementation of drills and course play. She also spent time as an intern with the Valero Alamo Bowl and was an editor of The Mirage, Trinity's annual yearbook.
