#12 Tigers Beat Southwestern to Extend Win Streak to 13

San Antonio - The 12th-ranked Trinity women's soccer team produced its 11th shutout of the season in Sunday's 7-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over Southwestern (TX) University.

The Tigers dictated the action throughout most of the game, out-shooting the Pirates by a 39-2 margin.

Trinity struck early on as Colleen Markey's cross was redirected into the back of the net by Chelsea Cole in the fifth minute, and that proved to be the game-winner.

In the 13th minute, Madee Gallagher pushed the ball forward from Trinity's back line to find Cole, who immediately laid it off to Booher just outside the 18-yard box. Booher dribbled to the edge of the box, then fired in the second goal of the day for the Tigers.

Julia Camp beat the defense down the right side in the 31st minute of action, then Cole finished her second goal of the game to put Trinity up 3-0. Just 14 seconds later, Camp scored a goal of her own to make it a 4-0 halftime advantage.

Trinity didn't get another goal until the 60th minute, but once again, Cole was involved in the score. This time, Cole picked up her sixth point of the game with an assist on Katie Peth's goal.

Julia Kelly made it 6-0 Tigers with a 25-yard strike, then Emily Welp assisted Tori Schott in the 86th minute for the game's final scoring play.

The Tigers won for the 13th consecutive game, improving the team's record to 13-1-0 overall and 9-0-0 in conference play.

Chelsea Cole posted her fifth multi-goal game of the season, and leads the team with 14 goals - inclulding three game-winners. She has moved to 22nd in career goals at Trinity, nearly doubling her total coming into the season.

Julia Camp scored her 10th goal of the season and the 42nd of her career. She also moved into a tie for 17th place in career assists.

Colleen Markey's assist was the 33rd of her career, which propelled her to sixth place in school history.

Kalli Douma and Paige Wallace combined for Trinity's fifth consecutive clean-sheet.

Trinity concludes its regular-season home schedule next weekend with two conference games. First up is a Friday night matchup with Centenary (LA) College, followed by a Sunday afternoon tilt with Austin (TX) College.
