Women’s Soccer Receives Team Academic Award

San Antonio - The 2018-19 Trinity women's soccer squad received a Team Academic Award by United Soccer Coaches.

The organization recognizes outstanding performance in the classroom, and the Tigers were exemplary with a 3.48 cumulative grade point average. Chelsea Cole '19 was awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Cole and then-junior teammate Kristen Canepa were selected for the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team.

Trinity captured its 10th consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the 10th year in a row. The Tigers advanced to the NCAA second round and finished the season with an overall record of  17-2-1 and a 13-0 mark in the SCAC. United Soccer Coaches ranked Trinity as the #18 team in the nation at season's end.

Led by fourth-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the current Tiger team is sporting a 6-2 record. Trinity opens its conference schedule this weekend by hosting Schreiner (TX) University on Friday.
