Trinity Women’s Soccer Ranked 25th by Latest Poll

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team has been ranked 25th by the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll, after previously receiving votes on the list.

Led by Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers won their only matchup of the week, shutting out Schreiner (TX) University 4-0 in their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) game of the season. Trinity now stands at 7-2-0 overall and won its fourth game in the last five outings. The pairing also marked the Tigers' sixth clean-sheet of the season.

Madison Horner scored the first and last goals of game and increased her team-leading season total to four. The Tiger team has scored 28 goals over the course of the campaign. Nyah Shepherd posted an assist and shares the team lead with Lindsey Peng with five assists. The taut Tiger defense allowed just one shot by the Mountaineers.

Goalkeeper Paige Wallace saved a Schreiner shot and now has 17 saves in her column. Wallace has allowed only four goals in nine games played.

Trinity will host two conference games this weekend. First up is the University of St. Thomas (TX) on Friday, followed by a Sunday game with Centenary (LA) College.
