San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team has moved up in two Division III national polls.
Led by Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers moved up a slot to #18 in the D3soccer.com Top-25 Poll, and also climbed three positions to #22 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll.
Trinity is on a four-game win streak and stands at 9-2 on the season. The Tigers are undefeated at 3-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) action. Last weekend, Trinity defeated the University of St. Thomas (TX) 3-0 and previously unbeaten Centenary (LA) College 4-0 in conference home games.
Sophomore midfielder Camryn Beall was tabbed as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week, after scoring game-winning goals in each of the matchups. Beall leads the team with five goals and is tied for the lead with two game-winners.
Sophomore midfielders Madison Horner and Kaity Ward, along with first-year forward Kristen Coniglione, each have scored four goals this season. Horner also has two game-winners to her credit. Trinity's offense has produced 3.18 goals per matchup.
First-year midfielder Jessica Young was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week. Young sparked the Tigers to their seventh and eighth shutouts of the season, and limited St Thomas and Centenary to just one shot-on-goal each. The team has allowed opponents to score only 0.36 goals per game.
The Tigers will play two SCAC road games this weekend, starting Friday in Georgetown, Texas, against Southwestern (TX) University. Trinity then takes on Texas Lutheran University on Sunday in Seguin, Texas.
