#21 Women's Soccer Scores Shutout Win Over Dallas

San Antonio – The 21st-ranked Tiger women's soccer team scored a 4-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over the University of Dallas (TX) on Friday night.

MATCH SUMMARY

Trinity controlled the game for the entire 90 minutes, holding a 24-0 lead in shots over Dallas, as well as taking an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Camryn Beall scored the eventual game-winner in the 17th minute, redirecting a cross from Abby Blackwood down the left side of the Tiger attack.

Despite the sizable advantage in shots, that would be the only goal of the first half for Trinity.

The Tigers wasted no time in putting the game out of reach in the second half, though, netting a pair of goals in less than five minutes to take a 3-0 lead.

Beall scored her second of the night on an assist from Kaity Ward just 66 seconds into the second period. Ward came down the right side of the attack to the end line, but was stopped briefly by a Dallas defender. Ward escaped and headed towards the box, sending a short pass across the goal for another one-touch goal for Beall.

In the 50th minute, Ward scored a goal of her own to make it 3-0. She dribbled into the box, beat her defender, and poured in the solo score for the Tigers.

The final goal of the game was an own-goal by Dallas, started on a curling corner kick by Jessica Young. The corner came to the near post, where it was grabbed by the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the ball slipped from her hands and fell across the goal line to make it a 4-0 game in the 84th minute.
