Cross Country Teams Enjoy Standout Performances at Chile Pepper

San Antonio – Trinity's men's and women's cross country teams enjoyed outstanding results at the 2019 Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday.

 

NOTABLES

The Tigers had 17 runners break personal records during the respective races. The women finished fifth as a team behind four teams outside of Division III, while the men were 12th overall and first among Division III schools.

Harry Bellow had the best finish of the day for Trinity, crossing the line in 11th place overall with a personal-best time of 25:57.2.

Jordan Juran was the top women's finisher, coming in at 19:01.1 for 22nd place individually. Brianna Ratliff was just 11 seconds behind Juran for 35th place overall.

Keaton Holt was 30th on the men's side, missing a new personal record by less than four seconds.

Chad Conway was 81st with a new personal-record time of 27:21.1, while Ben Whittemore was 88th with a new personal best and was than five seconds behind Conway.

Craig Sandoval finished 91st with his new personal best time of 27:26.4 on the men's side.

Lynzie Kutsner was 50th with her time of 19:38.5 in the women's race, followed by Olive Pertuit's new personal-best time of 19:41.1 in 63rd place. Liliana Perez was just behind Pertuit in 64th.

Gabi Amaya and Elaine Kaster were 80th and 81st individually, and both also set new personal records with times of 20:00.2 and 20:01.8, respectively.

Also setting new personal bests for the men were Jack Powers, Joshua Morgan, Joseph Hermes, Aaron Garcia, Tyler Marcheli, and Nathan Brown.

Paige Tangney, Laurel Daughtrey, Theresa Feller, and Natasha Wright also had new personal records on the women's side.

 

UP NEXT

Trinity's teams will return to action on Saturday, October 19, at two different events. The Tigers will compete at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas, and the Bill Libby Invitational in Abilene, Texas.
