College Station, Texas – The Trinity men's and women's cross country teams enjoyed a banner day at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M University.
Trinity was the lone Division III representative in the meet, placing 24th in the men's event, and running to a 25th-place finish for the women.
Four Tiger men broke personal records in the meet, led by Harry Bellow's time of 25:23.4 that placed him 87th individually. That time ranks him third in Trinity's record book, just over a second out of second place.
Keaton Holt finished in a time of 26:35.2 that was good for 172nd place and was just short of breaking his personal record.
The Trinity women also had four new personal records set in the meet, while two others missed their personal bests by eight seconds or less.
Jordan Juran paced the Tiger women with her personal-best time of 22:51.8 that earned her 137th place and moved her up a spot in Trinity's record book.
Brianna Ratliff came in just behind Juran in 142nd place and a time of 23:04.2, narrowly missing a new personal record.
Also snagging new personal-best times were Anna King, Lynzie Kutsner, and Olive Pertuit, who all finished within 10 spots of each other in the race. Paige Tangney rounded out the Tiger women's runners.
Today was the final tune-up before the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which will be held in Colorado on Saturday, November 2. Both Tiger teams are two-time defending conference champions.
