Austin Wilman ‘23 is in his second year as the goalkeepers coach for the Trinity Men’s Soccer program.
Throughout his collegiate soccer career at Trinity, he earned several honors for his contributions on the field and in the classroom. He was recognized as an All-SCAC Honorable Mention (2023) and was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team (2023). Academically, he excelled as well, earning a spot on the Trinity Dean’s List (Spring 2020, Fall 2023) and the SCAC Academic Honor Roll (2023).
His playing career saw steady growth and key performances in goal. As a first-year player, he appeared in three games, logging 28:27 in net and contributing to a combined shutout. In 2021, he started all seven games he played, totaling more than 640 minutes in goal. That season, he recorded his first career save and shutout against Mary Hardin-Baylor on September 17 and finished with a career-high eight saves against Colorado College on September 24. He ended the year with a career-best 30 saves and two shutouts. The following season, he started all eight games, recording two shutouts, an overall 4-2-1 record, and eight saves. His efforts helped Trinity secure SCAC Regular Season Championships in 2021 and 2022 and NCAA Playoff appearances in 2019, 2021, and 2023.
A native of Esher, England, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Trinity in business in 2023.
