Bailey Wittenauer

Bailey Wittenauer enters her second season as the head coach of the Tiger Softball program when the 2025 season gets underway. 
 
Appointed in the summer of 2023, Coach Wittenauer had a stellar first season leading the Tigers. Under her guidance, the team achieved a record-breaking 31-13 finish, including a 17-4 record in SCAC play. The Tigers excelled offensively, with five players hitting over .300 and a team on-base percentage of .383. Eleven players earned All-SCAC honors, with freshman Hannah Boudreaux being named First-Team All-SCAC and SCAC Newcomer of the Year. Additionally, Jordan Arce and Hannah Boudreaux received National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region accolades. Off the field, the Tigers also performed well, with 11 players making the Trinity Dean’s List and 12 players earning spots on the SCAC Honor Roll.
 
Coach Wittenauer has an overall coaching record of 111-91, 31-13 while at Trinity. Coach Wittenauer joins the Tigers coaching staff after spending four seasons at NCAA Division II Rockhurst University. In four seasons at Rockhurst, Wittenauer posted a record of 80-78 as the head coach.  Wittenauer was the second head coach in the history of the Rockhurst program. Before Rockhurst, she was the assistant coach at Truman State. While at Truman, Wittenauer was in charge of the pitching staff and outfielders. She helped the Bulldogs of Truman State post 70 victories and advance to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Prior to joining the Truman State staff, Wittenauer spent one season as an assistant coach at Drury University in 2015.
 
After playing three seasons at Indiana State, Wittenauer finished her college career as a first baseman at Indianapolis in 2013. She was a first-team All-GLVC and All-Region honoree, in addition to being a Daktronics honorable mention All-American. 
 
Wittenauer graduated from Indiana State, majoring in physical education with a minor in history. She was a two-time Most Valuable Player on the team and was a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference catcher in 2011. She led the Sycamores in eight offensive categories in 2011 and finished her career at ISU ranking second in career home runs (15) and slugging percentage (.482).
