Trinity University

Jozsef Terenyi has been a faculty member at Trinity University's School of Business since 2019 and joined the Men's Soccer (MSOC) coaching staff in the fall of 2021. He has coached U6-U18 teams in several clubs in San Antonio since 2006 and holds a U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) D license.

Bringing a data-driven approach to the MSOC program, Terenyi has introduced professional-level soccer analytics by implementing GPS tracking technology and conducting advanced game video analysis. His methodology includes collecting and analyzing data from all training sessions, providing players with detailed feedback and performance evaluations after each game. He also oversees a team of interns who assist with data collection and analysis, while an ongoing collaboration with Trinity’s mathematics department enables scientific evaluation of the data to enhance coaching strategies.

A native of Vác, Hungary, Terenyi earned his Electrical Engineering degree from the Technical University of Budapest in 1993 and later completed his Executive MBA at the University of Texas at Austin in 2005.
