Kristen will be entering her 8th year as the Associate Director of Athletics for Recreation and Sport Camps in the 2024-25 academic year. Kristen was appointed in November 2016. Kristen is in charge of coordinating Trinity’s extensive programs of intramurals, club sports, and outdoor recreation.
A number of intramural sports are offered, including sand volleyball, basketball, flag football, and soccer, to name a few. A popular event in November for students and staff is the Turkey Trot, a race around campus where the winners receive turkeys for Thanksgiving.
There are a total of 17 club sports: badminton, men’s basketball, equestrian, men’s and women’s lacrosse, polo, powerlifting, rock climbing, rugby, men’s and women’s soccer, tennis, trap & skeet, men’s and women’s ultimate, and men’s and women’s volleyball.
Outdoor recreation includes student-led off-campus excursions in an around the state of Texas.
Kristen served as Intramurals Coordinator at Nicholls State (LA) University from 2012-2016. She developed, organized, and implemented all intramural sports, activities, and events. Kristen also was the men’s club soccer adviser and participated in numerous community service activities.
Kristen was the Nicholls State assistant women’s soccer coach from July 2008 to April 2012. She earlier held the position of interim head coach of the NCAA Division I program. Kristen was also a graduate assistant coach of the Colonels in the 2007-08 season.
A talented student-athlete, Kristen was elected the Colonels’ team captain in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human performance from Nicholls State in 2007. Kristen received a Master of Education degree in higher education administration and leadership from Nicholls State in 2010.
Kristen is a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). She also was elected to a three-year term of the Louisiana Collegiate Recreational Sports Association. Among her accomplishments, Kristen hosted a Louisiana state flag football and volleyball tournament, and played a major role in the creation of a $10,000 endowed scholarship.
A native of Waco, Texas, Kristen is married to Trinity women’s soccer Head Coach Dylan Harrison ‘02. The couple has two young sons, Judson and Lennon.
