Mabel Fowler '22 joins the Trinity Swimming and Diving coaching staff for her second season as the Assistant Coach when their 2024-25 campaign gets underway.
Coach Fowler comes to Trinity after serving in a similar role at Swarthmore College, where she helped the men's and women's swimming & diving teams win back-to-back Centennial Conference Championships in 2022-23. Coach Fowler also saw Swarthmore qualify its largest team in school history for the NCAA III Championships, as well as establish 23 new school records during her season with the team. She has spent the last three summers as the head coach of the Alamo Heights Pool Sharks here in San Antonio.
Coach Fowler earned All-American honors at Trinity in 2019 and 2020, qualifying for the NCAA III Championships three times in her career, and leading her teams to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships every year that she competed. She was the SCAC Swimmer of the Meet in 2020 and 2021, as well as the SCAC Swimmer of the Year in 2020. Coach Fowler is also the league's most decorated swimmer, setting the conference's all-time record with 13 individual wins at the SCAC Championships during her career. She still holds six Trinity swimming records, including four individual events and two relays.
