Quin Patterson enters his 11th year with Trinity Athletics, 10th as the Head Equipment Manager as the 2024-25 academic year gets underway. Quin is responsible for the supervision of the Tigers’ equipment and uniforms and their maintenance for all of the University’s 18 athletics teams.
Patterson was appointed Trinity’s Head Athletic Equipment Manager in the summer of 2014, following a one-year stint as Assistant Equipment Manager where he quickly learned the duties and intricacies of the position by serving under longtime Head Equipment Manager, Matt Saenz.
In the spring of 2023, Quin was named the Athletic Equipment Manager Association Knight-Pickard, District VII Equipment Manager of the Year. He is also one of the founding committee members for the Mentorship and Engagement Committee through the AMEA. In the summer of 2021, he was appointed to the title of Membership Chair for District VII which includes Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado. His duties include welcoming and corresponding with new members to the association and district, answering any questions they may have, or directing them to the individuals in the organization who can assist.
A Newtown, Pennsylvania native, Quin graduated in 2013 from Hofstra (NY) University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in community health. He held numerous student positions at Hofstra, including as an ambassador with the department of admissions. Quin established a mentorship program between current and incoming members of the ambassadors' program.
