Stephanie Greeson, LAT, joins Trinity University in her first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Bringing decades of experience in sports medicine, she provides comprehensive athletic healthcare for student-athletes, emphasizing injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. Stephanie is passionate about athlete wellness and applies a holistic approach to care that integrates physical recovery with strength, conditioning, and long-term performance goals.
Before arriving at Trinity, Stephanie served as Head of Medical and Performance Services for the San Antonio FC Pro Academy, overseeing the health and safety of multiple youth teams while collaborating with physicians, coaches, and support staff to deliver elite-level athletic care. She previously worked with Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio as both an assistant athletic trainer for San Antonio FC and as a contract athletic trainer supporting local schools. Stephanie’s earlier career includes extensive experience as a head athletic trainer at Vandegrift High School and Austin High School, where she developed injury management systems, established emergency action plans, and launched student athletic training programs. She also served as an internship coordinator and faculty member at the University of Texas at San Antonio, mentoring the next generation of athletic training professionals.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and an All-Level Physical Education Certification from Lubbock Christian University, as well as ongoing graduate study toward a Master of Athletic Training at Hardin-Simmons University. A licensed and certified athletic trainer in Texas, she is also credentialed in Dry Needling, Graston Technique, and Joint Manipulation, and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association. Her deep expertise and leadership make her a valuable addition to Trinity’s sports medicine team.
