Caroline Keener is in her seventh year on the Trinity staff. She was promoted to the position of Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Affairs in June 2015, after serving as Assistant Director of Athletics for Rec Sports/Wellness for two years. In 2010, Caroline became the Coordinator for Intramurals and Club Sports.
Caroline oversees Trinity's extensive rec sports program, the Lifetime Fitness Academic Program, the Wellness classes in the Bell Athletic Center, and sports camps. She also serves as the Athletics Assistant Compliance officer. Caroline is a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).
She earned the Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Trinity in December 2009, with a focus in marketing and management. Caroline received a Master of Education degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December 2013, in educational leadership and policy studies.
A native of Plano, Texas, Caroline attended The Hockaday School in Dallas. She was a three-year starter on Trinity’s nationally ranked volleyball team. Caroline was named an All-American in 2007 and 2008, by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, as well as receiving All-Region (twice) and All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference recognition (three times)
An outstanding student-athlete, Caroline was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll on two occasions. She also made the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team. The Tigers advanced to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals in 2006, a feat of which Caroline was a major contributor.
Caroline, who was a volleyball team captain, is ranked in the top-12 in Tiger history for assists in a season, with 1,212 in 2007. She recorded a career-high 61 assists in a single match, in 2005 and 2007. She produced 4,033 career assists, and is ranked No. 4 in the Trinity record books.
