Horseshoe Bay, Texas - The Trinity Tigers women stood in seventh place Monday at their SCAC Fall Classic golf tournament.

Trinity shot a 365 at the par-72, 5,906-yard Apple Rock Golf Course.

Texas-Tyler (328) was the first-round leader, and Centre (331) was in second place. Mary Hardin-Baylor (337) was third. Tied for fourth, at 351, were Rhodes and McMurry. Southwestern (362) was in sixth place.

The Tigers led Texas-Brownsville (371), Concordia (385), and Hendrix  (430).

Molly McCarthy had the best Trinity opening-day score, with an 84. She is tied for ninth place. Hannah Goodwin shot 87, in a tie for 19th. Molly Zumbro recorded 96, and was tied for 38th place. Emma Herzog made a 98, tied for 41st place, and Elise Rosmarin had a 103, tied for
46th.

Leading the two-round tournament was Emily Bachert of Centre, with a 1-over 73. Danica Weddle of Texas-Tyler was in second place, at 7-over 79.

The tournament concludes Tuesday.
