San Antonio - The 10th-ranked Trinity Tigers women won their 11th straight game with a 3-1 SCAC victory over the Birmingham-Southern Panthers Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Soccer Field.

Trinity, the defending conference champion, upped its record to 12-1-0 and 6-0-0 SCAC. The Tigers shut out Millsaps 7-0 on Friday in a SCAC home game.

Tiger junior forward Kelly Watts scored her ninth goal of the season, in the fifth minute of play. Sophomore midfielder Lindsay Euers gave Trinity a 2-0 lead in the 17th minute, and was assisted by junior forward Abigail Loar and senior midfielder Jordan Azar. Loar picked up her ninth assist of the campaign, and Azar recorded her sixth.

Birmingham-Southern's Alicia Plotky scored with two seconds remaining in the first half, which broke up a string of five straight shutouts for the Tiger defense.

Loar scored her team-best 10th goal of the year, in the 50th minute, on assists by senior midfielder Lindsey Neubauer and sophomore midfielder Katy Lipscomb.

Trinity will host Chapman (Calif.) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 in a non-conference game.
