Box Score Trinity's women's soccer team will show its support for Breast
Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Komen Foundation during Friday
night's game against Chapman.
The following is from the team:
For this evening's game, Trinity University Women's Soccer
wishes to recognize and support the promise and the fight to
eradicate breast cancer. Without a cure, one in eight women in the
U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
We honor those who have been diagnosed or whose mother, daughter,
sister, wife, or colleague has been diagnosed with this
life-threatening disease and support them through their journey. We
hope that tonight we will increase the awareness of breast cancer
and the research to cure it. We encourage those in attendance
tonight to make a difference and honor the promise of the Susan G.
Komen Foundation as our fight continues. To support the cause,
donations can be made at tonight's game.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast
cancer movement, having invested nearly $1.5 billion since
inception in 1982. As the world's largest grassroots network of
breast cancer survivors and activists, we're working together to
save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and
energize science to find the cure. Together, "we will make a
difference."
