Box Score San Antonio - The seventh-ranked Trinity Tigers women wrapped up their regular-season home schedule Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 SCAC victory over the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels at the Trinity Soccer Field.
The Tigers, on a 14-game winning streak, improved their overall record to 15-1-0. Trinity, the defending conference champion, remained undefeated in the SCAC at 8-0-0. The Tigers also had an unblemished 9-0-0 season record at home.
Trinity, which recorded its 11th shutout of the season, scored in the seventh minute of the game, on a goal by senior midfielder Jordan Azar. It marked the sixth goal of the year for Azar, and her first game-winner. Senior midfielder Lauren Folkman fired in a goal in the 81st minute. Both assists were provided by sophomore midfielder Katy Lipscomb, who has four on the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Garrett played the full 90 minutes, and made one save.
Trinity outshot Oglethorpe 36-2, and led 18-1 in shots on goal.
Up next for the Tigers will be two SCAC road games next weekend, as they conclude regular-season play. Trinity will take on DePauw Friday at Greencastle, Ind., and Centre next Sunday at Danville, Ky.
