Box Score Round Rock, Texas – The Trinity Tigers
men's golf team is in third place after Monday's first
two rounds of the 54-hole West Region Invitational.
Trinity shot an opening-day 611 (307-304) at the par-72
Teravista Golf Club course. The Tigers were in fifth place after
the first round, and improved the team score by three strokes to
move to third.
The Tigers are five strokes behind host Southwestern (606).
Texas-Brownsville (575) is the team leader after the first day of
competition. Trinity leads Texas Lutheran (615), Mary Hardin-Baylor
and Concordia (627), California Lutheran (628), and McMurry (638).
Trinity's Ryan Barry shot a 1-over 73, for a two-round
total of 4-over 148. Barry is in a four-way tie for sixth place.
Jonathan Alden recorded 3-over 76s, for 152, and stands alone in
13th place. Warren Taylor, who shot a second-round 76, is right
behind at 153, and a tie for 14th.
Nash Kassam, playing as an individual, went 3-over 75, for a
154, and tied for 16th place. Lee Seidlits, also playing as an
individual, is tied for 27th, after shooting an 81 (158 total).
Chase Clayton recorded a 79 (160), and is tied for 34th place.
Individual player Eric Davis shot 83 (163 total, tie for 40th
place). Geoffrey Setiawan made an 85 (164 total), and is tied at
No. 45. Peter Senior, as an individual, produced an 83 (165
total), and is in 47th place.
Chris Milligan of Texas-Brownsville is the first-day leader at
5-under 139, and Joseph Lucio, also of Texas-Brownsville, stands in
second place at even-par 144.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with one round of golf.
