Box Score 2 San Antonio – Megan Richman, an outside
hitter on the Mayfield High School volleyball team, will become a
member of the Trinity University Tigers program in August.
Richman earned numerous honors while playing for the Wildcats:
All-Ohio Honorable mention, Northeast Ohio Conference Player of the
Year, All-District First Team, and the News-Herald First
Team.
She was a two-time Chardon Hilltopper All-Tournament Team
selection, the Mayfield Invitational MVP, and a Wendy's High
School Heisman winner. Richman is also the Wildcats'
record-holder for most kills in a season, with 323, and led the
team to the conference championship for the first time in school
history.
The Trinity Tigers are one of the most successful teams in the
NCAA Division III. Led by Julie Jenkins, who will start her
26th season as Trinity's head coach, the Tigers have
advanced to the NCAA playoffs for 18 consecutive years.
In 2009, the Tigers advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, for the
fifth time, and earned a ranking of No. 8 in the nation. Trinity,
which has been an NCAA finalist, has also captured 15 Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
