sophomore forward Brian Hines (Tempe, Ariz./Brophy College
Preparatory) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Hines scored four goals in the Tigers two SCAC home victories
last weekend, highlighted by a hat trick (three goals) over Rhodes.
It marked Hines' second hat trick of his career, and the first for
Trinity this season. Two of his goals were just 26 seconds apart in
the first half. Hines again put one past the Lynx keeper 2 minutes,
21 seconds in the second half, as the Tigers led 5-1. He also
scored in the 30th minute against Millsaps, as Trinity held a
2-0 halftime lead.
For the season, Hines is second on the Tiger team with 10 goals.
He also has one assist, giving him 21 points.
Fifth-ranked Trinity, led by head Coach Paul McGinlay, is
unbeaten at 9-0-2, and 4-0-0 SCAC. The defending SCAC champion
Tigers will host Southwestern at 8 p.m. Friday.
