Box Score San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers senior midfielder Josh Adams (Houston/Clear Brook) has been elected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Adams paced the fifth-ranked Tigers to a 4-1 SCAC home victory over Southwestern last Friday. In his fourth multi-goal game of the season, Adams scored a goal in each half of the matchup. He opened the scoring with a goal in the 17th minute of play. Adams has scored at least one
goal in nine consecutive games this season.
The prolific Adams moved on to the top-20 Trinity list of career goals scored, with 25. He is currently tied as the 18th all-time Tiger scorer.
Adams leads the team with 14 goals, and six game-winners, in the Tigers 12 games this season.
Trinity, the defending SCAC champion, stands at 10-0-2 overall, and 5-0-0 in conference play. The Tigers wrap up their regular-season home campaign next weekend with two SCAC games. Colorado College comes to campus Friday for a 7 p.m. contest, and Hendrix is the Tigers'
opponent at 2 p.m. Sunday.
