Box Score Kerrville, Texas - The Trinity Tigers women's golf team was tied for second place with the host Schreiner Mountaineers Monday after the opening round of the Schreiner Women's Fall Classic.
Trinity and Schreiner each shot 325 at the par-71, 5,842-yard Scott Schreiner Golf Course.
Mary Hardin-Baylor (314) was the first-round leader, Concordia (338) was fourth, Hardin-Simmons (364) stood in fifth place, and Texas-Dallas (406) was sixth.
Trinity's Madison Wallender shot a 7-over 78, and was tied for fourth place in the individual competition. Molly Zumbro recorded 9-over 80 and held a seventh-place position.
Julia Orrange, in a tie for the No. 11 slot, shot an 82, and Alessa Hutter, playing as an individual, had 84 for 17th place. Molly McCarthy shot an 85, in 18th place, and Elise Rosmarin, at 97, was No. 32.
Two Mary Hardin-Baylor players, Sara Eckert and Kristen Cain, shared the first-round leadwith 5-over 76s.
The tournament concludes Tuesday, with an 8:15 a.m. starting time.
