Box Score San Antonio -- Three Trinity University Tigers have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III All-Academic Men's Cross Country Team.
Seniors Zach Brush (Edmond, Okla./Edmond North) and Adam Cribb (San Antonio/Randolph), along with junior Robert Edmonds (San Antonio/Health Careers), received the honor by having grade point averages of 3.30 or higher, and placing in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
The three Tigers also earned All-South/Southeast Region and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors.
Brush, an engineering science major, placed 15th last November at the NCAA Regional at Memphis. He clocked in at 26:12 in the 8k race. In late October, Brush finished 18th (26:16.3) at the SCAC Championship, hosted by Trinity at Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Texas.
Cribb, a chemistry major, who will also receive a commission in the U.S. Air Force, was 25th (26:28) at the NCAA Regional, and 10th (26:04.6) at the SCAC Championships.
Edmonds, who is majoring in finance and economics, was a 27th-place finisher (26:32) at the Regional, and placed seventh (25:56.10) at the SCAC meet.
