Horseshoe Bay, Texas -- The Trinity Tigers women were in fourth place after Friday's opening round of the 54-hole SCAC Women's Golf Championship Tournament at Apple Rock Course.

Trinity shot a first-round 357, behind DePauw (311), Centre (325), and Rhodes (348) at the par-72 event.
 
Five Tigers were in the top-30, paced by Julia Orrange (84), who was in a tie for 10th place. Madison Wallender (88) was in a tie for 14th place, and Molly Zumbro (90), was part of a tie for 19th. Emma Herzog (95) stood in 25th place, and Molly McCarthy (103) was in the No. 29 slot.
 
DePauw's Kelly Gaughan led the tournament with a par-72.
 
The second round gets under way at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
